Hey babes! Happy Thursday!
Who else did not want to get out of bed this morning?? The struggle was SO REAL girl but at least it’s almost Friday! Anyways let’s talk about something a little more exciting…DISNEY.
If you’ve been following me for awhile now you would know that I’m an avid Disney goer and try to go to the parks every two months or so. What can I say I just love Disneyland (especially during the Christmas time)?! This past weekend I went back to the happiest (or I guess you can say spookiest) place on earth with my #GirlSquad to see all of the Halloween decorations and the new pixar pier!
Halloween Decorations + Pixar Pier = A Bunch of Photo Ops.
Of course, Disneyland is about going on the rides and eating all the pretty desserts they have to offer but it’s also about taking cute pictures with your besties or significant other! This is where I come in and show you my favorite places to take pictures in the parks that’s beyond the castle. Don’t get me wrong the castle is iconic but it’s also where everyone takes their pictures lol.
📍Main Street, U.S.A.
Main Street is the place to be at Disneyland because there’s so much to do! There’s dessert shops, restaurants, fruit stands, clothing stores, and so much more complied onto this little yet big street. Plus the exterior of every store is so uniquely decorated that they make for great photo ops! So, instead of going straight to the castle for some pictures, why not stop in front of Penny Arcade or the magic shop for a quick little photoshoot!
*Also, you can’t forget to get a picture with the big Mickey pumpkin which is located at the start of Main Street!
📍Sword in the Stone (in Fantasyland)
Fantasyland is also a great spot to take pictures because it has the big carousel and the sword in the stone! I saw Olivia Holt take a picture here one time so naturally I decided to take a picture there the next time I went lol!
Cars land is my FAVORITE place to be out of both parks. I seriously can go on the radiator springs racer ride like 5 million times and not get tired of it. If only the line wasn’t so long just to ride it haha I’m not about that waiting life. But, if I’m not standing in line I’m usually taking pictures at Flo’s V8 Cafe and Cozy Cone Motel because you can get great pictures out of both locations that aren’t your typical Sleeping Beauty Castle picture. I specifically love Flo’s V8 Cafe because of the retro vibes it gives off (it’s even cuter inside)!
California Adventure just recently opened up Pixar Pier which has so many new and exciting things. I’ve been waiting for Pixar Pier to open for SO long that I’m happy it’s finally here! Towards the end of the pier there’s this gigantic wall that you won’t miss that simply says, “Pixar Pier” on it but it’s so cute that my bff and I just had to take some pictures there! Really take your time going through Pixar Pier because there’s so many new food carts and games to explore you won’t want to miss it!
(Pro Tip: If you walk to Coco – Plaza de la Familia located at Paradise Garden Parks they have this really cool art mural of angel wings that is kind of hidden behind a few tables)
📍Monsters, Inc. Ride
Last, but not least is the “Boo” door from Monsters, Inc. ride. This has to be one of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken (mostly because I LOVE Monsters, Inc.) because you don’t really see people posting about it too often! Plus, how can you pass up taking a picture with this iconic door?!
Well, those are my top 5 places to take pictures in the Disneyland parks (I have more up my sleeve but I didn’t want this blog post to be too long so let me know if you want a part 2😏) and I hope I inspired some of you to look beyond the castle and really explore what Disney has to offer!
