Help out the Victims of the CA Wildfires!

Help out the Victims of the CA Wildfires!

…and the people affected by the Borderline shooting! (I would of put that in my title too but then it would of been super long)

So, I’m pretty sure most of you guys are aware of the tragedies that have recently struck the state of California. From the shooting at Borderline in Thousand Oaks to the Woolsey/Hill Fires making its way through the L.A. and Ventura Counties it’s…ALOT. Last time I checked the fires are only 40% contained which is a slight improvement from the other day, so fingers crossed that it’s only up from here.

I know this isn’t my typical blog post talking about celebs or L.A. but this is something that is really important to me because it breaks my heart seeing how many people were affected by these two incidents.

With that being said, I want to help give back to the people affected by the wildfires and shooting because they need every ounce of support they can get. I am by no means this big blogger with a HUGE platform but I figured that even though I’m a small blogger I can still use the “platform” that I have to spread positivity and kindness around. With that being said, I want to share with you guys this quote I came across the other day because it really stuck with me.

“You have two hands.

One to help yourself, the second to help others”

I could not agree more with this quote because it’s so true! Instead of just sitting back and do nothing, we (as a community) need to come together and help each other out in this time of need.

The other night when I was trying to come up with a fundraiser idea all I could think of was creating a GoFundMe account and I was like “eh” I want to do something that allows me to be creative! That’s when I stumbled upon Bonfire, a website that allows you to design custom shirts to sell online or buy directly. This website caught my attention because I was like “how fun that I can create cute t-shirts and donate all of the profits to a good cause,” so I got started right away designing some fashionable tees! By the way this website is super easy to navigate!

I ended up creating three different shirts so keep reading if you want to learn more about how you can help the victims of the California Wildfires and Borderline Shooting!

① “California Strong” T-Shirt ($22.99 and $25.99 for the tank top)

② “Dear Santa…” T-Shirt ($21.99)

③ “Sleigh” Workout Tank Top ($25.99)

All of the shirts will be available in sizes S-2XL!

I will be campaigning the holiday shirts for 15 days and the “California Strong” shirts for 20 days! What this means is since I’m hosting a fundraiser there will be a time frame for how long the shirts will be available. When the campaign is over I will donate all the profits to the charities of my choice.

More Info:

→ All of the profits that are made from the “Dear Santa…” and “California Strong” t-shirts will be donated to the Ventura County Community Foundation, so they can disperse the profits into either “Hill Fire and Woolsey Fire Sudden and Urgent Needs Effort Fund” or “Conejo Valley Victims Fund.”

→ All of the profits that are made from the “Sleigh” workout tank top will be donated to the Los Angeles Fire Department so they can help supply firefighters with new hydration backpacks.

When will my product arrive?

→ If you order the “California Strong” t-shirt (or tank top) it will arrive between December 13th and December 24th.

→ If you order the “Dear Santa…” t-shirt it will arrive between December 10th and December 19th (just in time for the holidays).

→ If you order the “Sleigh” workout tank top it will arrive between December 10th and December 19th (just in time for the holidays).

Please share this blog post link with your friends and family! As a community we need to come together to help each other out in this time of need! If you don’t feel like purchasing a shirt check out this twitter thread that I made explaining the different ways YOU can help those affected by the CA wildfires! Every single penny helps even if it’s a small donation!

Always remember to treat people with kindness.

xo,

Lex
